About The Adventure
Vasota Fort, located in Satara district, lies within the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve. Nestled in dense forests, it is famously known as the "Jungle Fort" and was also used historically as a prison.Also known as Vyaghragad, it sits proudly at an altitude of about 3,800 feet (1,171 meters).This trek combines the thrill of a scenic boat ride through the Koyna Backwaters with an exciting hike from Bamnoli village through untouched wilderness.

Vasota Trek Schedule
Every Friday / Saturday Night Departure.
Day 1: Departure
- 08:30 PM: Assemble at the common point in Deccan.
- 08:40 PM: Pickup from Nal Stop.
- 08:50 PM: Pickup from Warje.
- 09:00 PM: Pickup from Navle Bridge.
Day 2: The Adventure
- 12:30 AM: Reach Base village, rest in tents, enjoy a campfire & star gazing, then sleep.
- 05:00 AM: Wake up and freshen up.
- 06:00 AM: Have breakfast.
- 08:00 AM: Depart for Vasota by boat (1.5-hour journey).
- 09:30 AM: Reach Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary and start the trek.
- 09:30 AM - 03:00 PM: Trek to the fort base (2.5 hrs one way), explore, take photographs, and descend back to the base village.
- 03:00 PM: Enjoy a delicious lunch in the village.
- 05:30 PM - 06:00 PM: Begin the return journey with unforgettable memories.
- 09:30 PM: Reach Pune.
